INTRODUCTION

First National Equities Limited was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on October 3, 1994 and formally started its operations on February 7, 1995. A Corporate Member of Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited and registered as a Brokerage House under the Brokers & Agents Registration Rules, 2001 with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, FNEL is primarily engaged in the business of brokerage.

FNEL has earned a good reputation as well as a prominent position among local brokerage houses. Its comprehensive, high quality and distinct financial services have guaranteed the continuous trust of portfolio and strategic investors. FNEL's long-term development strategy is based on good relations with clients and expansion of mutual trust. The management, sales team, analysts and other professionals at FNEL share a common vision of FNEL's future - to maintain a distinguished position in the financial markets and expand its services'’ portfolio.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors of the Company comprises of eminent business personalities having vast business experience spanning over decades including more than 10 years of financial markets. The brief detail of business experience of the directors is as under:

1. Mr. Ali Aslam Malik, Chairman/Director/CEO

Mr. Ali Aslam Malik is the Chief Executive of the Company. He obtained his Masters in Commerce from Hailey College of Commerce, University of Punjab in Lahore. He has attended numerous workshops and courses on Investment, Risk Management, Management Information Systems, Corporate & Quality Management as well as local and national security from various institutions, both locally and overseas.

An entrepreneur by nature, Mr. Malik has over fifteen years of experience in the field of Investment Banking, Stock Brokerage, Funds Management, Equity and Debts Instruments, Underwriting, Placements, Syndication and Corporate Research. Apart from heading this group, Mr. Malik provides consultation to companies in both public as well as the private sector.

2. Mr. Malik Attiq-ur-Rehman, Director

He is an industrialist by trade, having over three decades of experience in the field of business and industry. Mr. Malik has represented the Government of Pakistan on numerous forums, including International Labor Organization, UNO in Geneva.

Mr. Attiq holds directorship in Excel Industries Limited, Accord Processing & Trading Works (Pvt.) Limited, and Nouvell (Pvt.) Limited. He is presently Senior Vice Chairman of All Pakistan Recycle Paper Board Manufacturing Association of Pakistan.

3. Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Director

Mr. Khan, Chartered Accountant by qualification, is partner in M/s. Sajid Iqbal & Co., Chartered Accountants. Before launching the accountancy firm, he had served as Group General Manager, Nagina Group of Companies. He had been looking after Taxation, Accounts & Audit, Finance and Legal Issues of the group concerns - five listed and five unlisted companies. He is a visiting faculty member at SKANS School of Accountancy, Lahore since 1993 and is imparting quality education to aspiring CAs. Besides being a CA, he is also has Fellowship of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (FPA).

4. Mr. Shahzad Akbar, Director

A Commerce Graduate by education, Mr. Akbar holds more than ten years of practical experience in the manufacturing sector. He also possesses vast international banking experience, working as Sr. Financial Services Officer at Bank of America, Houston, USA and as the Business Banking Specialist at Bank United, USA.

Currently, he is the CEO of Millennium Buying House, one of the largest procurers of dyed yarn and ready made garments in Lahore. He also holds the position of CEO at Trisoft International Inc., whose clients include Hay Group (world's largest HR firm) among many others.

5. Mr. Rais Ahmed Dar, Executive Director

Mr. Rais Ahmed Dar is a CA Intermediate from the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan. Prior to this he gained a Bachelor'’s Degree in Commerce.

He has more than thirty years of practical experience in handling the financial management, accounting, audit, tax and corporate matters of renowned organizations like a reputed Chartered Firm, Ghee Corporation of Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, Burewala Textile Mills Ltd. & FNE Group of Companies. He has the experience of ensuring compliance regarding the requirements envisaged in the Companies Ordinance, 1984. He is also a life time member of Lahore Tax Bar Association.

6. Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan, Executive Director

Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan is Masters in Economics from Punjab University. His previous experience includes working as Business Development Manager at reputed brokerage houses at the Lahore Stock Exchange. He has also served as Marketing Manager at Ittefaq Group of Companies & Sampak Group of Industries.

Currently, in addition to his office of Director, he is also the Head of Sales at First National Equities.

7. Mr. Amir Shehzad, Executive Director

Mr. Amir Shehzad is a Commerce Graduate and has more than seven years of working experience as an Equity Trader and Portfolio Manager. He has a deep understanding of Capital Markets, with particular focus on Stock Markets, relevant rules and Regulation of Stock Exchanges and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

The Company is managed by a dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced professionals and well-reputed sponsors. The management team carries vast experience of the capital markets and enjoys a competitive edge with its risk management skills to make prudent investment decisions taken on rational equity market analysis. 4. Mr. Abdul Maalik Khan (Head of Co-ordination)

Mr. Abdul Malik Khan is a Commerce graduate from the University of the Punjab. For the past eight years, he is serving this Group with the best of his professional expertise in different departments, from trading to settlement.

Currently he is serving First National Equities Ltd as Head of Customer Support Services in highly professional manner and holds the office of Director in our Group Companies, M/s First Pakistan Securities Ltd & M/s Switch Securities Pvt. Limited as well.

Mr. Maalik enjoys a vast professional experience of the Stock Market activities and is able to understand the current trends of the markets, in addition to reaching categorical solutions to the problems prevalent.

5. Mr. Asif Mumtaz Mian (Company Secretary)

Mr. Asif Mumtaz Mian is a Fellow Member of ICMAP, having twelve years experience in Capital Markets and the Textile sector. He has expertise in brokerage business management, financial management, risk management, financial accounting, tax, internal auditing, corporate matters and statutory compliance.

Mr. Asif Mumtaz Mian is serving as Company Secretary of FNEL since May, 2010 and is responsible for ensuring statutory compliance with the Companies Ordinance, 1984, Code of Corporate Governance and all other relevant rules, laws and regulations.

6. Mr. Abid Yousaf (Head of IT & MIS)

A Computer Science Graduate from the Canadian School of Management (CSM), Institute of Graduate Studies in Manitoba, Canada Mr. Abid heads the IT division of FNE Group. He has over 18 years of experience under his belt in the field of IT, having served in various industries ranging from Textile, Glass, Pharmaceuticals, and Healthcare to the Stock Market. He serves as an asset to the group and his innovative ideas have been of immense benefit.
